Oat Chaff has been the mainstay in the feed sheds of horse owners for centuries. Whether made from oat straw, whole-crop oats, or some combination of straw and harvested grain, oat chaff has offered horses in work with a good source of energy and protein, as a grain feedstuff.

Annandale have harnessed all that’s good in the oat plant by chaffing oat hay, rather than straw. Their Oaten Hay is cut from the whole oat plant before it reaches full maturity. Harvesting the crop before the seed fully develops creates a grain fee forage with an exceptional balance of fibre and protein without the starch content of grain.
